Level I College Prep Camp
Colleges and universities use ACT and SAT scores as a means to predict a student's readiness to tackle first-year college courses. This 5-day camp will rigorously prepare your son or daughter for both the ACT and the SAT and provide insight into college planning. The links below offer additional information.
ACT & SAT Preparation
Our Level I College Prep Camp
includes comprehensive instruction for the ACT & SAT, teaching students the
skills and strategies essential for top performance on the tests. Instruction
includes:
n The administration and analysis of 2 released ACT tests and 2 released SAT tests under realistic conditions |
n Live instruction of ACT and SAT strategies and techniques |
| n Core content area review sessions |
| n ACT and SAT essay writing workshops |
n A one-on-one tutoring session with an expert instructor |
n All classroom books and materials |
| n Additional take-home practice materials |
Time Management and Study Skills Development
Students will learn techniques to help them budget and manage their time appropriately, which is critical for success in college. In addition, students will acquire and apply practical study skills that will carry over into their school work. Instruction includes:

College Admissions & Financial Aid Discussion
Advantage Education admissions experts will discuss which factors to consider when applying, details of the applications process, including letters of recommendation, personal essays, and advanced placement, the impact of ACT and SAT scores on chances for admission and eligibility for scholarships, and scholarship and financial aid opportunities. Students will also attend a group information session with university admissions officials.

Housing
Students are housed in campus dormitories and are served cafeteria meals, just like many actual college students. Students are supervised by camp and university staff who reside with them on the dorm floors. Special diet and roommate requests can be accommodated with advance notice.
Student Life
While staying on campus, students will have a chance to experience college life and explore the campus of one of the top universities in the country. Cultural opportunities include trips to various museums and planetariums, as well as local attractions. In addition, students will have access to the finest sports facilities during their stay. Because students are housed together in university dorms, they will have the opportunity to share ideas, and to study and interact with peers from different places.
