SAT Test Scores
Your SAT score includes a scaled
score (ranging from 200 to 800), for
each section tested: Critical Reading, Math, and Writing. Your Writing score
includes two subscores, one for the multiple-choice sections and one for the
essay.
Your score for each
section is based on the number you answered correctly, less a fraction of the number you
answered incorrectly. Final SAT scores are then combined.

How College use SAT Scores
Colleges
use SAT results to assist in admissions decisions and as a predictor of
academic success in college. Colleges and other agencies also use SAT scores
to determine eligibility for scholarships and loans. Above-average SAT scores
can often qualify students for scholarship money.
